Free Money

I will go to the library to complete this exercise.
I will approach people studying with study edge packets
I will be straight and to the point. I’m going to come in hot and ask if they want a free dollar because who doesn’t like free money

I will be able to give away 5/5 dollar bills.

Week 7 Reading Reflection

1.         The biggest surprise to me were the different techniques in advertising that cater to different emotions and certain demographics. Instead of demonstrating how a product works, the advertisers chose to emphasize how the product made users feel.
2.         None of the readings from this week caused too much confusion for myself. I thought the topics covered were all very interesting and discussed very thoroughly.
3.         I would ask the author which segmentation they believe is most effective, and which demographic they believe controls the market today.

4.         I do not directly disagree with anything the author stated, but I do believe most purchases are based on values.

Week 6 Reading Reflection

1) What was the biggest surprise for you in the reading? In other words, what did you read that stood out the most as different from your expectations?
The most surprising aspect of this weeks readings was the detailed outline of the business structures and the Industry Analysis. I was not expecting to go that in depth and understand the concept so simply, yet feel very apprehensive to the implementation aspect.
2) Identify at least one part of the reading that was confusing to you.
I was not very confused by any certain part of the reading. It did however take me time to fully comprehend the industries boundaries and the steps taken to implement them.

3) If you were able to ask two questions to the author, what would you ask? Why?
I would ask the author how he came to the conclusion that new products have to be better than their predecessor. I would also ask the author what personal experiences impacted his decision making skills.

4) Was there anything you think the author was wrong about? Where do you disagree with what she or he said? How?

There was nothing I thought the author was incorrect about. I did find it intriguing that he took such a strong stance in regards to industry standards.
